Snorkeling at Menjangan Island

Embark on a half-day boat trip to Menjangan Island, a secluded paradise off the coast of West Bali National Park. Renowned for its crystal-clear waters and thriving coral reefs, this uninhabited island is perfect for snorkeling or diving. Swim alongside vibrant fish, giant sea turtles, and perhaps even manta rays or whale sharks. The serene beauty of the island and its underwater world make this a must-do marine adventure.

Diving in Pemuteran

Home to some of Bali’s best dive spots, Pemuteran offers incredible underwater experiences for both beginner and advanced divers. Explore the rich marine life of West Bali National Park and dive into colorful coral reefs that make this area one of Bali’s hidden underwater treasures.

Biorock Coral Restoration Project

Witness cutting-edge marine conservation in action at the Biorock Project, located just off Pemuteran Beach. This world-famous artificial reef showcases vibrant corals and marine life, offering a unique snorkeling experience above beautifully crafted underwater sculptures. This eco-friendly initiative allows you to enjoy marine beauty while supporting conservation efforts.

Metamorfosa

Just along the coast from the Biorock Project, you’ll also find Metamorfosa, another fantastic reef restoration project in neighboring Sumberkima Bay. Much like Biorock, one of the ways that Metamorfosa is helping protect the local coral reefs is with their “underwater art gallery”—a series of underwater sculptures that provide a strong base for baby corals to grow on.

Explore Sacred Temples

Discover the spiritual heritage of Bali by visiting some of Pemuteran’s sacred temples. Pura Melanting, with its vibrant colors and intricate dragon carvings, is devoted to the goddess Dewi Melanting. Nearby, Pura Pulaki, known for its playful monkeys, offers breathtaking ocean views. Pura Pabean, perched on a hill, blends Hindu, Buddhist, and Taoist influences, providing panoramic vistas over the sea.

Kayak or Paddleboard in Pemuteran Bay or to Gili Putih

Paddleboard or kayak in Pemuteran Bay, or for a private beach escape, paddle to Gili Putih, a secluded white-sand island surrounded by turquoise waters. This tranquil spot is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Wine Tasting at Local Wineries

Indulge in a delightful wine-tasting experience at a local winery. Sample a variety of exquisite wines made from Bali’s unique grapes, all while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. This experience provides a perfect opportunity to relax and appreciate the flavors of Bali in a serene setting.

Hike to Scenic Viewpoints

For adventure seekers, the Batu Kursi trek offers a rewarding hike with panoramic views of Pemuteran Bay. Starting from Pemuteran Temple, this short trek leads to a hilltop temple with stunning vistas of Bali’s northwest coastline. For a longer trek, explore the Sumberkima Ridge Walk and enjoy breathtaking landscapes while learning about local culture from expert guides.

Visit the Turtle Hatchery

Support conservation efforts at the Bali Turtle Hatchery at Reef Seen Dive Resort. Learn about the initiatives to protect endangered sea turtles, and if you’re lucky, you may even participate in releasing baby turtles back into the sea.

Relax in North West Bali Hot Springs

After a day of adventure, unwind at Mimpi Hot Springs. Known for its healing properties and set against a backdrop of mangroves, this seafront natural spring is perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. Not far from the Buddhist temple Brahma Vihara, you’ll also find the Banjar Hot Spring, an ancient spring created by the Japanese hundreds of years ago. Carved stone dragons pour water into the pools, set amidst a beautiful flowered garden. Here, you can soak in three baths filled with 38°C sulphur water. Traditional belief holds that this hot spring can cure illness, eliminate stress, and leave you feeling completely relaxed. Whether you’re looking to decompress or rejuvenate, these hot springs are sure to help you on your path to renewal.

Explore West Bali National Park

West Bali National Park, Bali’s only national park, offers diverse ecosystems from mangrove swamps to pristine beaches. Explore the park through birdwatching, animal safaris, or trekking, and discover rare species such as the Bali Starling and wild boars.

The park is incredibly varied when it comes to habitat with rainforest, dry savanna, dense mangrove forests, acacia scrub, lowland forest and more montane forests right in the heart of the park. There are offshore coral reefs which are also a big draw to the area.

The dominant visual feature of this part of Bali are the extinct volcanoes that are in the East of the park and which can be seen from almost any part of the park.

Waterfalls

For nature lovers, two of the region’s most famous waterfalls are Aling Aling and Sekumpul. The Aling Aling waterfall, located in Sambangan village, is surrounded by Bali’s iconic rice paddies. The crystal-clear water cascading down the falls invites you to take a refreshing dip. If you’re adventurous, you can slide down natural rock formations or take an exhilarating jump into the pool below, with heights ranging from 10 to 16 meters.

Sekumpul Waterfall, one of Bali’s tallest and most breathtaking, is found in Sekumpul village. After a scenic walk past fruit trees and local vegetation, you’ll descend steps and wade through shallow streams to reach the falls. Surrounded by seven majestic cascades, this is a paradise for trekkers and adventure enthusiasts, offering hiking tracks that range from 2 to 5 hours.

Pasir Putih Beach Club
