The salt water pool was fabulous and we also loved being so close to the beach for early morning swims and snorkelling. There are lots of great warungs with in 5 mins walk serving some of the best food we had in Bali. The locals in the village are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the villa’s staff made us feel like family. Kadek prepared amazing local dishes, and Wayan ensured the pool and gardens were always in perfect shape. Fitri’s massages were heavenly. The villa itself is gorgeous, with beautiful gardens, a stunning saltwater pool, and lovely, comfortable rooms that felt like a home away from home. Located right in the heart of the village, it was just a quick 5-minute walk to amazing local warungs, cafés, and the beach with clear waters perfect for snorkeling! The atmosphere in Penuteran is something special; the friendly Balinese locals and the relaxed village vibe make it feel worlds away from the busier parts of Bali. Plus, the staff at Kubu Elena went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Kadek's breakfasts were delicious, and Fitri's massages were the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring. Can't wait to return!
